Warehouse Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor overall warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, distribution, and maintenance to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
- Ensure effective receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of a wide range of products through the use of the enterprise resource planning system (ERP – MS D365).
- Oversee and verify adherence to documented procedures (SOPs, work instructions, etc.) related to inbound and outbound logistics.
- Develop and maintain performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Hire, supervise, train, coach and evaluate departmental staff to ensure competency and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify risks and opportunities for improvement within warehouse processes and escalate or implement corrective actions as appropriate.
- Coordinate assignment of shipments and carrier selection in line with cost, service level, and on-time delivery goals.
- Ensure that the physical and systemic inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle count audits, and implement appropriate inventory techniques to maintain accurate records.
- Manage operational budgets including labor, material, and overhead to ensure financial efficiency.
- Lead or participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for nonconforming materials or processes.
- Actively support and enforce Kinedyne's environmental, health, safety, and security management program and all OSHA regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams including planning, customer service, supply chain, and production to meet fulfillment goals.
- Serve on operational and business committees to contribute to special projects or functions as assigned.
- Initiate and recommend process improvements to leadership.
- Train and assess warehouse personnel in alignment with documented competency requirements.
- Participate in internal audits, management reviews, and supplier communications as related to warehouse operations.
- Approve work schedules, resource assignments, and workflow adjustments within the warehouse team.
- Stop operations that pose a safety, quality, or compliance risk.
- Approve hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for warehouse personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operational leadership; prior single-site responsibility preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems (MS D365 preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools; certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift/pallet jack license.
