CMM Programmer
The CMM Programmer is responsible for performing inspections and supporting data analysis. Effectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion to maintain uninterrupted movement within the Manufacturing process. Individual shall also work closely with Quality Assurance, CNC Programmers, Design Engineering, MFG Production & Braze/Special Process to ensure that all inspections are thoroughly completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- Create CMM programs with PC-DMIS software (From Solidworks models, drawings & applicaible documents)
- Create Absolute Arm programs
- Document measurements required for First Article Inspections / AS9102
- Updating & Managing Microsoft Excel databases
- Mechanical, Visual & Final Inspections
- Recommend new metrology based technologies towards improving our overall capabilities
- Complete quality related and continuous improvement project work
- Participate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions / implement preventative actions
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Level 1, 2 and/or 3 PC-DMIS Certification - Preferred
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning amd Tolerancing (GDT)
- Interpret Technical Drawing and Specifications towards Programming
- Spacial Awareness of basic machining practices & CMM Setups
- Understanding of Statistical Process Controls / AS9103
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturting - Preferred
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee will use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.

Office, Plant, Warehouse or Remote locations: Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant.
