Painter II

Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Remove old paint, rust, grease, and dust using grinders, scrapers, pressure washing, and chemical stripping.
- Bodywork and Repairs: Fill dents, grind welds, apply body filler/putty, and prime for smooth, uniform surface.
- Masking & Protection: Cover non-painted areas to prevent overspray damage.
- Paint Mixing: Accurately mix primers, epoxies, base coats, and topcoats to exact color, viscosity, and consistency per specifications.
- Coating Application: Operate HVLP, conventional, or other spray systems to apply multiple layers (mil build) for maximum durability.
- Decals and Branding: Apply decals, logos, and safety stencils per drawings or customer specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect work before and after painting to ensure coverage, adhesion, and finish quality.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, store, and maintain spray equipment and tools per safety and production standards.
- Safety Compliance: Wear and use required PPE, including respirators, and follow all safety and environmental regulations.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with air-assisted spray systems and paint mixing equipment.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in demanding conditions.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with air-assisted spray systems and paint mixing equipment.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in demanding conditions.
Experience and Education:
- 2-4 Years Experience in industrial painting, manufacturing, or heavy equipment coating applications.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday onsite, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or any other time agreed upon. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with prolonged standing and use of industrial painting equipment.
- Exposure to noise, welding operations, non‑temperature‑controlled areas, and typical heavy‑equipment production conditions.
- Proper PPE is required at all times.
