Job Description


This position is responsible for assisting in daily warehouse and shipping and receiving areas including ensuring accuracy and timeliness of product shipments.  This position reports to the Sr. Lead Shipping Coordinator.


  • Review daily shipping and receiving material discrepancies and forward discrepancies to proper department for corrective action
  • Review/Audit outgoing shipping activities to ensure systems and spare part orders are complete, accurate, and damage free
  • Review the completion of the monthly high dollar material cycle count that is issued by the accounting department
  • Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
  • Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management
  • Maintain current department accuracy and efficiency standards and follow department standard operating procedure
  • Responsible for domestic/international invoicing
  • Perform other job duties as assigned or required
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all internal and external customers
  • Order creation, load procurement, negotiation, freight tendering, and problem resolution
  • Update customers regarding shipments as required via phone, email, and web-based channels
  • Identify customer needs and facilitate communication with owner operators or outside agents to provide the most cost-effective means of shipment execution
  • Provide a high level of accuracy in order documentation
  • Understand unique freight handling characteristics and delivery requirements to allow contractors to operate in a safety-oriented environment
  • Assist contractors in obtaining shipment critical information (directions, pick up numbers, tow-related services, etc.) via phone and email communication
  • Monitor shipments from order entry through delivery to ensure on time performance is met
  • Suggest improvements to business processes and procedures when applicable to benefit the corporate goals as well as key stakeholders


  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Generally requires an Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s in business, logistics, or other related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
  • Knowledge of an MRP system is required. Experience in D365 preferred.
  • Must have previous experience with import/export compliance with the ability to analyze complex export regulations as needed based on shipments
  • A minimum of 2 experience in shipping and receiving with domestic and international shipments.
