COMPANY PROFILE

Incorporated in Texas in 1966, Bo-Mac originally focused on providing civil, pipeline and other construction services for the petroleum exploration industry. In 1974, pile driving capability was added and our primary market expanded to include construction related to the oil and gas refining industry and the petrochemical processing industry. Asphalt manufacturing and paving capabilities were added in 1985 with service primarily to the Texas Department of Transportation. Expansion continued in 1989 with the addition of marine piling and dock construction capabilities.

Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the New Orleans, LA area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for Mechanic Helper. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the company's safety procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities may include but are not limited to performing preventative maintenance on all forms of earthmoving equipment, friction and hydraulic cranes, forklifts and various other equipment. The working environment is exclusively outside, thus the job often involves all weather extremes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Constant sitting, reaching, and grasping.
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 to 70 pounds.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, and use of hand tools.
• Employee must provide their own basic hand tools typically used for servicing equipment; specialty tools will be provided by the company.
• Ability to clearly communicate between co-workers on safety and operational matters affecting equipment operations.
• All records are maintained electronically so basic iPad knowledge is required.
• This position requires the employee to drive a company service vehicle as such a clean driving record and valid driver's license is mandatory.
• TWIC Card is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Preference given to candidates with 5 preferably in a construction industry at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
