Job Description

C/A Design, Inc. is searching for a Quality Engineer in the Dover, NH facility. The Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating the quality functions throughout the facility including inspection of purchased and manufactured parts or assemblies, pursuing root cause of defects, implementing and tracking corrective actions and continuous improvements, quality management system maintenance and improvement, and interfacing with customers. 


  • AS9100 Certified/Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions for process related concerns.
  • Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality management system.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with new data.
  • Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit findings reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.
  • Continuously improve QA receiving inspection processes and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.
  • Prepare QA reports.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related discipline with 5-7 years manufacturing, customer facing work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100
  • Knowledge of quality engineering principles
  • Ability to analyze component, product, and manufacturing processes to improve product quality and process efficiency
  • Proficient with inspection methods, tools, and instruments (Optical Comparator, digital height gages, CMM, calipers, etc.)
  • Experienced interpreting GD&T requirements of complex machined components
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both written and verbally
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency; Familiarity with NADCAP is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Proven communication and problem solving skills
