Job Description

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates and manages training events across the United States from home base in Kansas City, MO.
  • Works with hotels, food providers, conference space providers to reserve, coordinate and evaluate locations for training events.
  • Manages travel budget and is able to negotiate with vendors.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and event logistics for multiple events per month.
  • Assists trainees with lodging and ground transportation.
  • Delivers Lunch \u0026amp; Learn program and must be comfortable speaking in front of groups.
  • Maintains inventory of training materials, including printed documents.
  • Sends, receives, tracks, and processes shipping or training materials.
  • Performs purchasing, office logistics, vendor coordination, and maintains files.
  • Assists with drafting and preparing written documents and/or spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Operates a variety of office equipment.
  • Processes, gathers, and logs training participant data.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will regularly include early mornings and late evenings during local events.
  • Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to travel overnight 4-6 times per year.
  • Associates degree or its equivalent plus one year of experience supporting similar key position responsibilities.
  • Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 20 lbs. of material and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Excellent communication skills \u0026ndash; written, verbal, interpersonal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and utilizing a variety of business software systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, practices, materials, means, methods and techniques, preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Spanish language (speaking, reading and writing), preferred.
