The Position

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for the development of a global sales and marketing strategy that directly aligns to the business long term strategic plans. The job holder will lead and manage the Capital and After Market Sales Team to meet or exceed annual and long-term objectives and targets for revenue generation and profit.

Reporting Relationship, Executive Forums and Stakeholders


  • Position reports directly to the President and contact is frequent

  • Position serves as a member of the Business Management Team which is responsible for developing and evaluating changes in the organizations strategic direction, evaluating key strategic decisions, and ensuring that the needed collaboration occurs between the companys functions

  • Position will act as a key spokesperson for the organization and have contact with executive level representatives from customers, strategic business partners, and industry associations

  • Position will also have frequent interaction with key Heico (Steelastic parent Company) stakeholders



Accountabilities


  • Overall responsibility for the organizations sales and marketing activities

  • Development of a global sales and marketing strategy, tactical plans, support infrastructure

  • Achieve or exceed the annual capital equipment, aftermarket spare parts, service, upgrade and retrofit sales budgets

  • Ensures the Company engages in needed market research and market intelligence activities to identify and understand customer needs as well as competitor activities

  • Provides technical and commercial proposals in alignment with customer requirements

  • Ensures adherence to the organizations authority to bid (ATB) and authority to commit (ATC) processes

  • Maintains a detailed knowledge of all products and services



Job Requirements

Educational Requirements amp; Essential Attributes


  • BA/BS in Engineering or Technical fields required; Masters Degree preferred

  • Exceptional written, graphic, and oral communication skills



Skills and Relevant Work Experience


  • 10 years of experience in international, high value, low volume equipment sales

  • Tire and Rubber Industry experience, and/or knowledge of extrusion processes strongly preferred

  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating high value, technically and commercially complex contracts and long-term supply agreements

  • A track record that demonstrates ability to perform at a senior executive level




  • Prior experience of extensive domestic and international business travel, frequently in excess of one week

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly/occasionally required to sit, walk and/or stand. Extensive domestic and international travel.nbsp; May be needed to work more than 8 hours per day.
