Job Description

The West Coast Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the general warehouse operations, including all receiving, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse management. Until the west coast distribution center is operational, this position will lead the coordination of startup, including warehouse selection, permits, layout, safety, and other needed activities.

Accountabilities

  • Organize and maintain the warehouse in a neat, safe, and orderly manner to achieve operational excellence and a safe work environment

  • Order stock to ensure that the proper levels of inventory are maintained

  • Operate forklift and other Company vehicles to load/unload materials and equipment; Follow proper DOT and OSHA guidelines

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure accurate, efficient and timely deliveries to customers and TMs

  • Verify inbound and outbound materials counts and document any discrepancies; Take corrective action as needed

  • Perform and support camera repair program for Western Sales Territory

  • Maintain and schedule repair work on small tools and on all vehicles and equipment to meet regulatory requirements; Set up and maintain an ongoing maintenance program for warehouse vehicles and equipment

  • Make staffing requests and participate in hiring process to achieve efficient operations

  • Schedule/coordinate building and grounds maintenance

  • Maintain inventory of MRO supplies, including stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, glue and other consumable materials needed

  • Perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies; Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory

  • Ability to break down and analyze problems to advise Territory Managers and customers on how to proceed

  • Enter and fulfil customer orders

  • Occasionally provide counter point of sale and customer service support

    Educational Requirements & Essential Attributes

  • Prior supervisory experience required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required

  • Ability to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required

  • Problem solving abilities

  • Computer proficiency, especially with Excel

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand. The employee is also required to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally. May be needed to work more than 8 hours per day. The position mainly works indoors with occasional outdoor activities. This position is based in California, with minimal travel for training requirements and occasional delivery runs.
