Aerospace engineers research, design, create, maintain, and test the performance of aircrafts, missiles, satellites, space vehicles, weapons systems, and the components of these crafts.In a typical day, an aerospace engineer's duties might include:
• Using scientific principles and computer-aided design programs to design aircraft, their components, and support devices
• Supervising the assembly of airframes and installation of components including engines and instruments
• Participating in flight-test programs to measure aircraft variables including take-off distances, rate of climb, and landing capabilities.
