Position Summary
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting Spartan Tool’s human resources initiatives by executing daily HR operations across multiple functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This position partners with leadership and employees to ensure a positive, productive, and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating offers.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a seamless onboarding process.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, issues, and concerns.
- Support conflict resolution and assist with investigations as needed.
- HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and physical files.
- Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and compliance documentation.
- Benefits & Payroll Support
- Assist employees with benefit enrollments, questions, and claims.
- Partner with payroll team to ensure accurate data and timely processing.
- Compliance & Policy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist in updating the employee handbook and HR policies as needed.
- Training & Development
- Help coordinate employee training programs and monitor compliance-based training requirements.
- Culture & Engagement
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and company events.
- Promote Spartan Tool’s core values and positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–4 years of HR experience preferred; manufacturing or industrial sector experience a plus.
- Solid understanding of HR principles and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
