JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist (Canada) supports traditional marketing projects and digital marketing initiatives with an emphasis on social media. The Marketing Specialist follows strategic direction, understands integrated marketing concepts, follows web marketing standards, and employs marketing best practices in support of the Sales and Marketing function at Kinedyne.

The incumbent must be fluent in English and Canadian French.

This is a Canada based remote position with preference to Ontario and Quebec and a strong preference for Toronto based area.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None. This is an individual contributor opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CONTENT and COPY
• Create clear, concise, and engaging content ranging from internal communications to external blog articles, eblasts, press releases, thought-leadership material, video and infographics, case studies, social marketing, on-page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and other projects as necessary.
• Assist in developing copy for new and enhanced product launches as well as marketing plans to support specific objectives.
• Work with the Key Account Manager- Training and Education to maintain training material and presentations on products, sales concepts, and other marketing opportunities.
• Co-create with other marketing leaders a copywriting center of excellence, reviewing and providing feedback on copy across key marketing deliverables and crafting top-level copy aligned with Kinedyne’s brand voice and messaging guidelines.
• Ensure written content aligns with strategic goals and organizational culture.
• Provide quality control of materials produced by the organization, ensuring consistency of style and accuracy of grammar.

VIDEO
• Develop strategies to capture video content through high-quality video footage that adheres to brand guidelines and captures the attention of our target audience.
• Travel to various Kinedyne and customer facilities to capture value stream via visual mediums.
• Edit videos ensuring seamless transitions, appropriate audio, visual effects, and engaging storytelling.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule and upload videos while closely monitoring engagement and adjusting as needed.
• Remain current with the latest techniques, trends, and features of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn Reels.
• Analyze video performance metrics and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and audience engagement. Use this data to refine future content creation strategies.
• Maintain a well-organized library of video assets ensuring they are easily accessible for use.

SOCIAL MEDIA
• Assist in leverage and maintaining Social Media platforms, creating and/or publishing content on various social media platforms, such as, but not limited to, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in order to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and boost sales.
• Responsible for aligning content calendar with other Kinedyne regions for cross promotion.
• Manage the Company's social media visibility. Review and optimize social media campaigns and strategies for each social media channel.
• Respond to customer queries via social media and engage with them in a positive and professional manner.
• Oversee site metrics and analyze the performance and impact of social media activities.

COLLABORATION
• Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Innovation Management departments as well as the end user network within the Transportation, Automotive, and Cargo Access and Securement Industries to conduct research and interviews with thought leaders to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter to contextualize findings.
• Solve editorial issues and process bottlenecks and proactively identify and anticipate opportunities (for campaigns and projects) where positioning and/or language could be improved.
• Collaborate internally with Kinedyne group level subject matter experts (SMEs) to maximize all marketing deliverables and success factors.
• Measure success through demand then lead generation, conversions, key performance metrics, return on investment, and organic traffic growth.

WORKING CONDITIONS/EXPOSURES:

• Up to 20% travel required.
• Work in a home office setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent computer use (sitting for extended periods, typing, viewing screen, use of mouse).

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Must be fluent in English and Canadian French.
• Experience managing several social media channels effectively with analytics to prove the same.
• Demonstrated experience as a video content creator, video editor, or similar role by providing portfolio of previous works.
• Comfortable with in-application editing with apps like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Excellent computer skills. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and LinkedIn.
• Strong time management skills.

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:

• University Degree in Marketing required.
• Must have a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
• In lieu of a degree, significant experience in a related industry or equivalent education may be considered.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two years of marketing experience.
• A combination of years of experience, advanced education, and industry-specific training and experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum requirement.
