SUMMARY:

The Master Scheduler will expedite production by organizing and monitoring schedules. This position will foster accuracy and excellence in quality customer service to the external as well as the internal customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain production schedule and release work orders based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Identify resource constraints and work with production to develop plans to achieve customers' needs.
  • Analyze the Forecasts, S & OP Data and Capacity Requirements to balance customer demand in accordance with company objectives. Participates in S & OP meetings.
  • Establish, manage and maintain the Master Production Schedule to satisfy customer requirements while optimizing manufacturing capacity utilization.
  • Review inventory of materials against present and anticipated sales orders and engage purchasing and sales when appropriate.
  • Perform material and capacity reviews for expedited sales requests.
  • Participate in daily cross functional production planning meetings.
  • Enhance the current planning model and toolsets and implement additional functionality and metrics.
  • Works with Procurement, Quality, Account Management and Production to ensure smooth execution of the schedule.
  • Reviews work order component shortages, production line availability and adjusts the schedule as required to maintain 100% on time and complete shipments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Industrial or machining planning.
  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems required; AX desired.
  • Experience working within a “build to order" environment.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement culture/LEAN environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a basic understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule analysis tools.
  • Ability to effectively make decisions with limited time and information and determine decision making criteria based on priorities. 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
