Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive all inbound material and stock. Label and identify upon receipt.
  • Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, manufacturing areas and stock areas.
  • Maintain accurate part identification and location records. By transferring material in the Epicor ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain stock levels in all points of use manufacturing areas. Identify and report shortages.
  • Pick and issue material for production either at time of receipt or from general stock as per the company production schedule.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, picking, packing, and loading them.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and other equipment to move material.
  • Adhere to Quality Procedures and safe work practices.
  • Responsible for UK parts pick pack and ship processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace at all times.
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:            

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience:          

  • 3-5 years warehouse experience associated with machinery, assembly and testing operations. 
  • Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems.

Specific Skill Ability and Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of shipping/ receiving and warehousing processes.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and principles. Experience using Epicor is an asset.
  • Experience using RF scan guns in an asset.
  • Former or current forklift/ reach truck experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Ability to identify actionable tasks and self-start.
  • Capable of receiving instruction and be trained in new duties and responsibilities.
  • Know, understand and follow safe material handling practices.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to understand and use structured bills of materials and materials lists an asset.
  • Understanding of basic quality functions an asset.
  • Must be able to work well in a team, communicate and contribute ideas.
