Reports To: Crew Foreman / Project Superintendent

Job Type: Full Time/Hourly

Position Summary

  • Must be able to rig and set piles (square and round concrete piles, steel pipe and H-piles) in the proper location and drive them to grade using hydraulic, diesel, or vibratory hammers. 
  • Must have proper knowledge of using and maintaining any type of power equipment required to fulfill job description.
  • Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures while performing job duties.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must be able to rig and set piles in the proper location and drive them to grade using hydraulic, diesel, or vibratory hammers. 
  • Handle, attach, and remove rigging from piling, pile hammer, and hammer leads.
  • Operates winches to align barge at proper location.
  • Install and remove pile templates.
  • Operate pile hammers.
  • Properly signal cranes.
  • Cut off piles at proper elevation.
  • Work from heights.
  • Rigging and signaling certification preferred.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience.

Necessary Attributes:

  • Understand construction safety standards and productively work safely.
  • Able to follow directions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter.
  • Dedicated and hard working
  • Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Drug Free.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

Capable of working outside or on the water in variable climates, traversing large active construction sites, and working around welding, cutting, grinding, marine vessels, heavy equipment, cranes, dirt, dust, noise, and vibrations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, arms, shoulders, legs, reach with hands and arms, and verbally communicate clearly. The employee is sometimes required to climb or balance. Ability to lift and or carry 50 lbs.
