Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of the Sales Analyst role is to analyze and triage all inbound phone, email, web and chat communications and exercise sound commercial judgment in qualifying opportunities resulting in an initial decision as to whether or not Davies will pursue the opportunity.  
    • Analyze all inbound communications, review pertinent information and qualify opportunities based on the customer, the market, the opportunity itself, and Davies Molding’s capabilities to be successful.
    • Analyze and qualify inbound requests based on viability / desirability / future potential / business structure, etc.
    • Enter information into Hubspot and create/assign tasks for follow up with current and potential customers.
    • Exit or re-direct inquiries judged to be unattractive when necessary or beneficial.
    • Make outbound phone calls to customers in order to develop a more thorough understanding of applications and situations necessary to properly analyze and qualify opportunities and determine next steps.
    • Properly route inquiries unrelated to new business as needed to properly support ongoing sales and production. Eliminate or delete incoming nuisance communications.
  • Highly proficient with the use of the Hubspot platform and guides continuous improvement of Hubspot as a tool for revenue growth. Will design and develop reporting tools and dashboards where possible to increase the effectiveness of Hubspot.
  • Monitor opportunities within Hubspot looking for instances where Davies Molding may not be taking adequate steps to capture or launch new business. Communicate internally as necessary to spur action.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Davies Molding products, capabilities and systems in order to immediately provide answers and data, offer suggestions and overall improve the customer experience.
  • Analyze client data and prepare, plan and conduct periodic (quarterly, bi-annual or annual) client business reviews.
  • Act as a key liaison and communications “traffic manager” between the Davies Molding sales team, other internal business partners, and customers.
  • Manage inbound/outbound phone, email and orders from both internal and external customer groups.
  • Maintain reporting tools and manage ad-hoc reporting requests for the marketing, sales, customer service and operations functions within Davies Molding.
  • Supporting the Program Management team, support transfer tooling administration
  • Periodically maintain and monitor client portals to ensure accuracy in orders
  • New and Existing Customer Research
    • Internal and External data collection
    • Aid in presentation preparation
  • Proactively monitors sales levels for select customers and communicate accordingly to the sales team
  • Maintain, Update and Identify Process documentation associated with roles and responsibilities for continuous improvement
  • Identify process breakdown and assist in fixing and documenting SOP’s
  • Cross-sell additional products and services to customers
  • Provide support for Sales Presentations to new prospective customers
  • Other duties as assigned to support sales activities and drive revenue growth for Davies Molding.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS in Business, Communication or Marketing or an Associate’s Degree in an Engineering related discipline required. 
  • 5+ Years in a sales environment required, including 3-5 years using relevant sales related software and/or analyzing existing business and new business opportunities.
  • Proficient in use of Hubspot or the ability to quickly learn it
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, specifically Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Exceptional service skills for both internal and external customers
  • World class attention to detail, high level of accuracy and follow up
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Demonstrated experience with report generation and data manipulation, including graphs and charts

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. May be needed to work more than 8 hours per day.
