Job Description

  • Lead in the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of recommended stocking quantities to support the business’s various product offerings on a global scale.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current process and implementing new processes where applicable.
  • Accountable for all after market parts price changes ensuring business KPI’s are met or exceeded on a monthly/yearly basis.
  • Partner with cross-functional business teams to drive successful S&OP process to balance supply & demand while minimizing excess/obsolete inventory.
  • Continually review, plan, and prepare initiatives that increase fill rates, inventory turns, reducing stock out situations, to meet or exceed business goals.
  • Understand and implement best practices for the service business according to the after-sales strategy under the guidance of the business leader both in parts and warehousing spheres.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education:     Relevant Degree / Diploma in Materials Management / Purchasing / Inventory Control. CPIM designation or working towards, an asset.

Experience:    Minimum 3-5 years' experience in materials management, custom equipment, metal fabrication environment.



 Specific Skill, Ability and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, materials management and the ability to track and control inventory
  • Strong analytical and research skills to develop, evaluate, determine, and recommend purchases and ordering practices
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of ERP/MRP and use within an operations environment with a high attention to detail (Epicor).
  • Strong problem-resolution ability and critical thinking
  • Previous experience in a high-volume custom manufacturing facility
  • Lean qualified or experienced an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
