Job Description

Our Inside Sales Representatives achieve and maintain revenue and profit goals. They act as a conduit for communication between our customers, District Sales Managers and the company. Inside Sales Representatives promote and support our entire product line throughout their assigned territories.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide sales coverage for Stenograph products
    • Maintain a consistently acceptable performance against assigned quota and non-quota objectives
    • Support the sales efforts of the District Sales Managers and act as an alternate contact
    • Communicate with customers and prospects via email, phone, social media, remote demonstration and other assigned avenues to present, close and process sales of Stenograph’s entire product line – with primary focus on professional writing machines, professional software, contract reinstatements
    • Lend assistance in other territories/interdepartmental needs
    • Utilize the company resources: database, phone system and email within company guidelines
    • Carry out a variety of ancillary duties as assigned
  • Supports customers and prospects
    • Provides information on products and services
    • Order writing and entry
    • Database management
  • Supports marketing efforts
    • Aggressively carries out marketing programs as directed
    • Provides ongoing feedback on product performance, pricing, features, new product ideas, new uses and promotional strategies
    • Engage in social selling/social media efforts
  • Attends and actively participates in meetings/training sessions, submits reports as directed
    • Assumes responsibility for continual self-training
    • Proactively participates in and contributes ideas to meeting and training sessions

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school degree; a college degree is preferable
  • Mature and proactive with evidence of sales experience; at least one year of experience
  • An effective communicator with strong oral and written skills (internal and external)
  • Flexible and self-starter; able to multitask
  • Strong commitment to working closely with team members
  • Proficiency with CRM systems the Microsoft Office software suite
  • Conscientious, curious, goal-driven, respectful, persistent, proactive, willing to accept direction and utilize company-sponsored training
