Job Description

Join our team at Ceco Concrete Construction! In business since 1912, we have grown into the nation's largest concrete subcontractor, with our construction professionals building more than 200 projects representing over 20 million gross square feet each and every year. Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs all service assignments in a safe, skillful and efficient manner, using the least number of labor hours necessary, while maintaining the highest quality of standards possible.
  • Completes equipment inspections in accordance with company and governed standards.
  • Removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles and assembles parts, components and engines to repair construction equipment.
  • Performs all duties according to safety procedures and has the ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds safely.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of all equipment by reviewing service orders and coordinating a schedule to inspect equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  • Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Identifies and repairs malfunctions by test driving or troubleshooting vehicle operations.
  • Notifies management of any equipment not in serviceable condition or constitutes a safety hazard.
  • Handles warranty reports by retaining, tagging, and storing equipment properly to ensure parts are properly returned to the manufacturer.
  • Applies technical knowledge to diagnose cause of equipment malfunctions.
  • Responds to repair inquires in a prompt manner.
  • Discard residual or hazardous waste using proper disposal methods.
  • Maintains company tools and work area in a clean and orderly manner to meet safety requirements determined by company and government agencies.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Three years of experience successfully demonstrating construction equipment maintenance skills and performing similar key responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds safely.
  • Read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and illustrated parts lists.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Forklift and Scissor-lift certified.
