Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Training of field-level and mid-level construction employees in a variety of soft skills and technical construction task competencies. Training can occur in a variety of environments including on construction job sites and in classrooms.
  • Work with field management and subject matter experts to develop training resources designed to equip new existing construction superintendents and foreman with the skills and competencies needed for success. Programs could include executive coaching, leadership development, and literacy and numeracy directives.
  • Assist in the design and development of enterprise-wide training for the classroom, OJT, self-study, online, and blended learning environments. Manage LMS at an instructor level with limited supervision.
  • Assist in managing all phases of the instructional design and development processes.
  • Assist field managers in identifying training needs and help match with existing products or assist in product development. A high level of customer service is required.
  • Sets a professional example in and out of the classroom. Establish ownership change while building involvement.
  • Ability to engage and participate within a high-demand team that strives toward excellence in our performance as individuals and as a group.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience in the field or related area. 1 year of experience in a corporate setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Publisher, and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of webinar design.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal with a focus on proofreading documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, practices, means, methods, and techniques, is preferred.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US as needed; up to 20% of the time.

Desired Position Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish, speaking and writing, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Camtasia video edits is a plus.
