Job Description

SUMMARY:

As a key contributor to the manufacturing, the maintenance manager is seen as a forward-thinking strategic partner whose main priority is to meet the daily needs of the company in support of policies, procedures and reliability of our sizeable inventory of machinery, tooling and other plant equipment. Additionally, our maintenance manager partners with leadership on capital improvements, housekeeping, and overall care and upkeep of the facility and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee the maintenance of CNC and extrusion production machinery, punch presses, tooling and supportive equipment.

  • Accurately plans and budgets capital expenses and projects.

  • By analyzing talent within the maintenance team, efficiently delegates responsibilities/tasks to maintenance personnel.

  • Oversee troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules on all production machinery are being followed.

  • Advise management of replacement machinery requirements or parts.

  • Partner with purchasing on purchased parts, pricing research, etc.

  • Be available 24/7 for emergency maintenance requests and unexpected facility closure.

  • Attend daily management meeting, and advise on maintenance projects, status updates.

  • Research and recommend opportunities for training and certifications for maintenance team members.



Job Requirements


  • BS degree in facilities management, engineering or relative field.

  • 7-10 years experience in a maintenance leadership role.

  • 10 + years experience in a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment.

  • Leadership qualities ability to motivate a team and build positive working relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills understanding the importance of communicating with key business leaders on a continual basis.

  • Complete knowledge of hydraulic schematics.

  • Thorough knowledge of valves, pumps, regulators, cylinders and controls.

  • CNC Machinery experience, PLC training/certification highly desirable.

  • Possess good written/oral communications skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner. Able to deal effectively with broad range of personalities.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A sense of urgency and clear understanding of the relationship between company production goals and objectives and efficiency of equipment.

  • Have a sense of pride in your facility.
