Job Description

Key Performance Areas -

  • Responsible for data entry of quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments.
  • Manage the inventory cycle count program. Prepare monthly reports for cycle count results and discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot on-hand quantity discrepancies and locate misplaced inventory.
  • Investigate shipping and receiving errors that effect on-hand inventory balances.
  • Develop strategies and support implementation of corrective actions to inventory discrepancies.
  • Record and monitor items with shelf-life and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Perform inventory movement between warehouses.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.
  • Ensure inventory is stored safely and properly and in the right location.
  • Create and maintain efficient warehouse space utilization plans.
  • Maintain labeling system on each stock item and on inventory shelves.
  • Manage and support hardware, fasteners, and fitting bin stock with suppliers.
  • Perform other task and duties as assigned to support inventory operations.

Job Requirements

Experience and Education:

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of inventory control experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
  • Technology:  Strong working knowledge of MS Office, iPads, and ERP functions

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and problem solve effectively
  • Licensed forklift operator desired

Supervisory Responsibility - This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position.  Work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Overtime may be required based on production schedule.

Travel – Regional travel may be required to support inventory management at offsite locations

Work Environment - The position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, iPads, phones, copiers and filing cabinets. Occasionally the work environment may be loud. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
