Job Description

US Wire Group is the parent of three independent companies (five manufacturing facilities) which produce steel wire and cable/wire related products that serve many industries. We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Irwindale, California, Kent, WA or Stillwater, OK.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Production-focused supply chain consultant that will oversee and provide support for D365 ERP implementation for 5 U.S. metal companies under The Heico Group of companies
  • Primary focus on Production, Planning, Quality, Logistic, Inventory Management modules within Microsoft D365
  • Possess and demonstrate the interpersonal and leadership skills to build positive relationships in a matrix organization. Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns. Understand Heico and MPG’s business and speak their language. Develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment
  • Solid and detailed understanding of ERP functionality, technology, and integrations
  • Support Production Business Process Owners and end users during all project phases and deployment activities (cut over, training, creating user guides, etc.)
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively work with project teams to identify solutions to address them in advance.
  • Document supply chain and Production Business Processes
  • Work alongside the ERP consultants to understand how configurations are being made and address or escalate any issues
  • Work with business on process improvements once project is live and stable
  • Provide user support where needed and work with external support team and business in bug fixing
  • Document business processes as required – Visio, process diagram, etc.
  • Help with project tasks during the project's implementation, go-lives and post go live support
  • Work with PMO team based in Chicago

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 1-2 years of Supply chain, Engineering or ERP implementation experience is required.
  • Aspiring to learn the Metals business and D365 and be fully involved on the projects on the production/manufacturing level
  • Functional knowledge of ERP core business processes (e.g., order management, distribution/fulfillment, invoicing, customers, procurement, inventory, HR, financial reporting, etc.)
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office suite products including Visio and Microsoft Projects.
  • Proactive decision analysis capabilities; takes into consideration size, complexity, visible and unknown risks, timelines, etc.
  • Coordinating/Monitoring project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Must be available to occasionally work off-hours to support project activities and deployments.
  • Occasional overnight travel to WA, TX, MI, OK and CA as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
