The Position






Job Description




Primary Responsibilities




  • Create/revise part prints and sketches to support sales and customer service needs as well as maintaining engineering drawings as a whole.



  • Create/support custom and proprietary product development for Sales and Engineering Departments.



  • Maintain (ERP) Enterprise Resource Planning System, Maintain ECN process:



  • Create/change items in the Item Master, Bills of Materials, and Routings in MAPICS System.



  • Assist Accounting in cost build of new items. Maintain ongoing file cleaning and maintenance




  • Supports Sales and Customer Service with Engineering related requests.



  • Assign and set up new part numbers in MAPICS based on new customer orders.



  • Complete AQPC checklist for new items.



  • Assist and provide back-up for Senior Estimator. Update and/or generate rundowns as required. Learn all pricing/estimating functions and strategies



  • Lead implementation of new and existing product designs, processes, installations, and upgrades.




  • Design gauges, fixtures, and equipment as needed for new products/processes as well as improvement of existing processes



  • Design cores, cavities, pins, etc. as needed for maintenance/repair of existing tools as well as new tooling for new products



  • Perform 3D Analysis and Simulation or FEA work as needed in support of current and new product performance



  • Solicit additional assignments as time permits




Job Requirements



Education



Associate Engineering degree or equivalent



Skills Relevant Work Experience



  • Proficiency in AutoCAD SolidWorks , mechanical drawing, 2-D and 3-D software packages.





  • Knowledge of mold design, molding material and thermoset/thermoplastic mold processing.



  • Orderly thinking with an attention to detail.



  • Multi-tasking abilities.



  • Requires strong organization and communication skills.



  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft office.





  • Mapics Experience a plus
