Job Description

SUMMARY:

Performs testing and supports data analysis. Effectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion working closely with Production and other Manufacturing personnel.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Independently perform inspections and tests to qualify material( Receiving First article, Set-up , and In-process inspections)

  • Record, summarize, report, summarize and store testing data

  • Participate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions, implement preventative actions.

  • Skilled at understanding of Blue Prints

  • Basic knowledge of geometric tolerance.




  1. Ability to use hand held measuring devices

  2. Ability to train operator on the use of measuring devices and filling out inspection sheets.




  • Skilled at using of metrology hand tools and gauges.

  • Knowledge on two of the following classes of equipment - CMM/Optical Comparator/ Instron Machine




  1. Responsible for cleanliness of his/her own work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.

  2. Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma

  • Attention to detail a must.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee will use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant.
