Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the procurement team, jobsite superintendents, and suppliers to support Prefab buyouts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with operations so bids and purchase orders are executed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Understand the procurement categories and provide guidance to all employees to adhere to our best practices and utilizing preferred suppliers.
  • Supervise Purchasing Clerks.
  • Review quotes for scope accuracy and work with suppliers to negotiate best pricing.
  • Knowledge of plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes, also identifying prefab opportunities
  • Recommend best practices and processes for the department in order to improve efficiency.
  • Review and account for QA/QC and installs to current NEC compliance
  • Continually help to improve and innovate on all processes, reporting, data collection or best practices.
  • Perform all other projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\u0027s degree preferred with 5+ years' experience or construction field experience.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with willingness to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Team oriented mentality with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Outlook, and Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel.
  • Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with firm deadlines.
  • Must have a strong belief in our safety policies
  • Working knowledge within the construction industry a plus.
