Heico Construction Group is offering a challenging opportunity for an experiencedAccounting Analyst to join our Corporate Office team in Kansas City. This position will perform in a lead role for Corporate accounting responsibilities and provide support to the accounting, financial and reporting efforts for each of the Group companies as well as being a liaison to the Parent accounting/financial department. The successful candidate will work directly with the Group Controller to provide corporate and company management with timely financial results for use in executing management decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining a full company general ledger and affiliated subsidiary ledgers per company and GAAP standards including preparation and posting of monthly journal entries and performing relevant account reconciliations.
  • Preparation and review of monthly/periodic financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and applicable supporting schedules) compared to budget and forecast.
  • Preparation of monthly 12 month rolling forecast (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow including applicable supporting schedules).
  • Coordinate and prepare annual budgets for the corporate entity and affiliated departments.
  • Leading and/or assisting with audit compliance and regulatory reporting as applicable.
  • Reviewing and approving weekly Corporate payroll and accounts payable disbursements.
  • Liaison with corporate parent accounting staff for intercompany transactions.
  • Periodic reporting, analysis and reconciliation of 401k and Group insurance.
  • Completing ad hoc special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of four years of Accounting work experience with demonstrated ability in similar position responsibilities.
  • Driven to achieve excellence.
  • Highly developed mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to formulate practical and operational friendly solutions to a myriad of business challenges.
  • Invested in continual learning to include company/industry specific software.
  • Advanced experience and command using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
