Position Description
Pettibone Traverse Lift, LLC is seeking an energetic individual with the ability to rapidly learn the mechanical skills required to assemble electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic components of large, industrial products across a variety of brands. The Assembler must possess the ability to communicate effectively with regard to inventory shortages, as well as problems, procedures and plans related to work activities

Work in a very safe manner. This includes complying with all Company Safety standards, exhibiting safe working behavior and maintaining a safe workplace by performing Daily Standard Housekeeping to meet the 5S metrics. Escalate all unsafe conditions so they can be promptly address.
Strict adherence of the Company Attendance Policy.
Escalate all process or product abnormalities through the use of the Andon system so they can be promptly addressed.
Accurately follow work assignments as required by highly-variable daily duties:
oMechanical assembly.
oHydraulic assembly.
oElectrical assembly.
oMaterial handling.
oStandard housekeeping.
oSafety audits.
oQuality audits.

Job Requirements

Essential Job Functions:
Work overtime beyond 40 hours/week dependent on varying Business needs.
Stand and walk on a concrete surface for extended periods (approx. 3 hours/each) throughout a standard 10-hour work shift.
Ascend and descend work platform stairs to access installations at varying heights. Ascend and descend vertical steps of heavy equipment to access Operators cab.
Reach overhead as well as bend, crouch and kneel to floor level to access installations. Work from a laying position on a Mechanics creeper. Assume awkward positions for restricted-access installations.
Regularly lift/carry up to 50 lbs. loads from floor level to chest level. Push/pull items exerting loads up to 50 lbs.
Swing heavy hammers (25 lbs.) up to chest height, tighten joints using large hand tools as well as heavy (30 lbs.) impact/power/pneumatic tools.


The ability to rapidly learn and retain the knowledge required to assemble the Product with a consistent, high-level of Quality is a must.
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Knowledge of basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and measuring.
Knowledge of similar equipment and assembly processes is preferred.
Problem solving skills and understanding of Lean techniques is a plus. (Kaizen, 5S / visual management, Standard Work).
